Would you like to: 

  • Provide direct team based primary care services
  • Keep up on educational programs and improve professional skills (including attendance at professional conventions, seminars and participation in professional societies)
  • Actively promote the interests of the Clinic
  • Keep and maintain appropriate records relating to services rendered – attend to all billing reports, claims, and correspondence
  • Currently and continue to be licensed by the State of Alaska to practice without restrictions
  • Maintain status as a provider under and in compliance with rules and regulations of the Medicare and Medicaid programs, Managed-Care and direct contracting arrangements and any other programs in which the Clinic participates
  • Maintain confidentiality of all health records and information as required by law
  • Cooperate with other employees in all reasonable manners
  • Abide by the schedule of hours formulated by the Clinic
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures for agency programs
  • Provide training and educational seminars to staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned

You need:  

  • Physician Assistant Degree from an accredited university 
  • Current Alaska Physician’s Assistant license
  • Current approved Collaborative Plan recognized by the Alaska State Medical Board  
  • Family practice experience highly desirable
  • Familiarity with EMR/EMS 
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs 
  • Ability to relate positively and courteously to staff and clients

General:

  • Clear background check
  • Current TB screening test result
  • CPR certification to be obtained within 2 weeks of hire. CPI certification must be obtained when offered through the agency; may substitute current MANDT certificate for CPI
