Hello my name is Tabatha Schellenger and I am currently a graduate student with the University of Alaska Anchorage School of Nursing. I am pursuing my master’s degree as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. A requirement to graduate is the completion of a scholarly project. I have chosen a quality improvement project in which I will provide an educational offering for Advanced Nurse Practitioners on the topic of nonsuicidal self injury (NSSI) in the adolescent population using evidence based information synthesized from current literature. The educational offering will provide information pertaining to the assessment and intervention of NSSI in adolescents in the primary care setting.
