Alaska Nurse Practitioner Association

Alaska Nurse Practitioners and Home Health Care

Posted over 10 years ago by Joscelyn Vanduren

Dear Colleagues,

We have much to be proud and excited about with the news below. Only two other states, Maine and Rhode Island, have all of their members of Congress as cosponsors of the Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act of 2013.

Please take time to send a thank you note to our members of Congress. This is an easy task using the instructions and link in the note below. With over 47,000 members the American Association of Nurse Practitioners has amazing power, resources and visibility to make the future better for nurse practitioners. Even more importantly we have the power to improve the health care of all Americans through our action and involvement.

Thank you all for your time and efforts. Please encourage your colleagues to join AANP so we can make our goal of 51% or more membership to truly say that AANP represents the majority of nurse practitioners in Alaska and the country.

Sen. Begich has agreed to become a co-sponsor of the Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act of 2013 (H.R. 2504/ S. 1332) and now every Member of Congress from your state has cosponsored the bill!  This wouldn’t have happened without the hard work of you and your fellow AANP members from Alaska.   Thank you for communicating with the AANP members in your state to ensure they have the tools needed to contact their Members of Congress and voice their support for this important bill.  Please continue to use this link (http://www.capwiz.com/aanp/home/) to allow AANP members in your state to contact their Members of Congress on the issue impacting NPs.  If you would like to share this announcement with the AANP members in your state, please let me know.

These Members of Congress have co-sponsored the bill:
Sen. Lisa Murkowski [R]
Sen. Mark Begich [D]
Rep. Don Young [R]
